Mark 10:46-52 – I want…

If you are fighting for anything in your life right now; if you need physical healing, a miracle financially, if your struggling with depression, anger, whatever – this story jumped off the page at me this morning… hope it helps you as well.
Mark 10:46-52- 46. Then they came to Jericho, (Jericho means fragrance of God), As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus, (means son/person of defilement), was sitting by the road-side begging.

  1. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, (many jesus’s, one God)! He began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, (Father’s blessing), have mercy on me!”

  2. Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Keep shouting, no matter the accusation, no matter what or who tells you to shut up! When He is passing by, shout and shout)!

  3. Jesus stopped and said “Call him.” So, they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! (The joy of the Lord is our strength)! On your feet! (No more depression, no more confusion, get on your feet), He is calling your name”.

  1. Throwing his cloak aside, (You have to throw off the fetters of defeat, he threw his cane!), jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.

  2. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, Rabbi, I want to see.” (Jesus did not ask what the blind man needed, he asked what he wanted; the blind man said, ” I want to see”. Many come and do not expect anything…)!

  3. “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. (Faith attaches you to God)!  

    Matthew 9:27 – cry out for the Father’s blessing, He will hear you, and ask what you want, (He already knows what you need), and you tell him with confidence and faith, I want…
