Africa/ Adventures of a white middle class housewife Part 2

Some may think it is irresponsible to take 6 children to a land infested with a dreadful disease and known for large snakes, spiders, other predators.
I know it is much more irresponsible to ignore the call of your children’s life.
I fear God much more than I fear any man or animal.
I realize protecting our children is as important as releasing them.
If we don’t release them into the hands of God, what have we been training them for?
That is of course if we are “training” them at all. Are we depending on the antiqued family bible sitting on the coffee table, rarely opened and more of a home accessory than “The Sword of the Lord?
Or dependant on watered down, but often entertaining American church 2 hours week to disciple our children, or hoping they will pick things up by default? We are surely doomed.

We have been praying with, teaching the word of God, and daily discipling our children
since they were very small. Now the question comes to them, “will you lay your life down for something bigger than yourself?”…..it is up to each of them to answer their call.
  What will they answer?
They have answered, YES! And just like us they do not know the cost; they do know that to say yes to God is too open up yourself to the unknown.
It really is not scary when you know the true character of God.
He is a father; he is passionate about His kids….all of them.
He does not care more for the blonde haired blue eyed American baby, swaddled in ridiculously soft Pottery Barn blankets, than He does for the small sick African baby left out in the cold to die with His umbilical cord still attached.
They are His children….His babies, his sons and daughters.
If that African baby is saved and taught the truth of God, he is much more fortunate than the American baby who is taught that comfort and self-gratification IS god.
