Michael,
Emily, Alexis and I have been in the mountains of South Africa for the
past 5 days experiencing God with 50 + young missionaries. I would love
for you to see these mountains… majestic, breath-taking, and right at
the bottom of the mountains, poverty and violence.
The D-squad of the World Race was ending their time in Africa and the E-Squad was just beginning. The collision was awesome!
Can
you imagine? Almost 60 young hearts; hungry, alive and wanting to
change the world, stuck with me in the mountains! NO where to go,
learning about Kingdom, living “Fully Alive” and brokenness.
For
the past hundred years or so, America and the West has sent a lot of
missionaries, a lot of great people with even better intentions – the
problem is things are getting worse and something is wrong with the system.
The
D-squad felt the weight of leaving this amazing Continent and going to
serve Central America, and the E-Squad felt the weight of leaving South
America and embracing God’s heart for Africa.
The collision was what God
feels when He looks at all of it… we cried, we prophesied, we fell to
soul of this ordained place and wept for the nations of the earth.
Change
will only come when we stop. We stop, get God’s heart, get God’s
emotions, get God’s plan for the nations of the earth… we touched
something this week in these mountains of Africa. I know less then I
did before we went…
I love it – thanks for bringing these guys alive.
can’t wait for ya’ll to get home!
Gary and Lisa- Thank you for all the “pouring into” you’ve offered to Sarah and the Sept07 Racers. Your hearts, your home, your hospitality, your fire and vision have all been lifechanging for Sarah. She has spoken so often of you and your kids and your passion. Your blessing of Sarah, has blessed us immensely and continues to ripple through our community of believers. Thank you doesn’t come close to being enough.

Gary and Lisa,
Welcome home! You work in Africa has been an inspiration to us all. We look forward to sharing God’s goodness and wonders with you face-to-face, in the near future!
Here’s to experiencing God’s emotions. (Madrid’s amazing!)
AMAZING!! I don’t even have the words to explain what you guys have taught me and how you have inspired me, stretched me, challenged me, encouraged me and I could go on. God has used you in HUGE ways in so many people’s lives and I am one of them! can’t wait to see what God is going to do next 🙂
