I asked my wife as we were driving
the other day to list the people in our lives that were NOT religious. After a
long pause, she asked me to define what I meant by “Religious”?
I said, a person that
understands who they are as a son or daughter, that God pursues us, like that
incredible line in Mozart Requiem, “Remember me Jesu – That I am the
cause of your journey.”
I mean a person that really understands that they cannot
please God, or displease Him anymore or any less and doesn’t define their
problems with an orphan spirit.
That when we sin, we humble ourselves, repent to
the Father for forgiveness and then to anyone and everyone it affected. So, we are
healed, and we close any door that sin could have opened in our lives
and move on!
I mean a person that is not caught up on “right or wrong,” but with “life
and death” and a person that lives life fully alive and expecting to raise the
dead!
Lisa hesitated again… and she named a couple
people… herself not included.
Then, Lisa asked…
