Yesterday we were finally able to get our new food packs down to Nsoko; we had containers full of nutrition food packs come in from America – they have flax seed, rice, wheat, protein – each individually wrapped. The go-go’s can just boil them for 20 minutes and serve them up. We delivered a few hundred boxes that can feed hundreds of children for the next few months…. That was the fun part of the day…

One of our contacts down there told us of two care points that had not received any food for over a month – so we headed off the main hwy toward the mountains where South Africa, Mozambique and Swazi all collide. It was a muddy, bumpy drive in four-wheel drive. Hundreds of kids that live on the side of these mountains, starving, alone, forgotten. One or two faithful grandma’s fighting for all of them.

Back at our main care point that the World Racers have nicked name “field of Dreams” Lisa was holding one of her favorite babies… her eyes and hair yellow from the jaundice, eye infection, limp, no energy – Lisa just wept, held her and said, “it really is about the one”…

We need your help to get our “Children’s Village” up and running – we have the fence going up this week, the bore hole for the water gets drilled next week, but we need the medical clinic now – we could stop most of this suffering with just a few hundred thousand dollars more and a few more volunteers – what are you doing this summer? How much can you give? Click here. Give to the Nsoko Project

Here are a few more shots from the day:

  1. Gary,
We haven’t met yet, but I have been praying for you for quite some time now. My wife and I are coming with the January ’08 WR team in the next few months. We are anxious to see what God is doing and what your dream is first hand.

  5. Yes! One child at a time, one prayer at a time, one hug at at time… EVERY CHILD MATTERS. This is what God continues to tell my heart. “Don’t get overwhelmed Ericka – one child at a time.”
