I
had my first real encounter last night with a Black Mamba snake. It is
the deadliest snake in Africa and the second deadliest snake in the
world.

You cannot believe how fast and amazing these creatures are.

I
was coming out of my drive way and this snake stood up! They stand on
their tail and look you right in the eye. This Mamba struck my car over
and over – I backed up and ran it over three times.

As I was opening my
door, a Swazi walking down the street yelled at me to “get back in!” He
said, “It will still take you, it’s not dead”! At that moment, the snake
turned and struck at my car once again.

Genesis
1:27 God makes us look just like Him, and then He tells us to be
fruitful and multiply, (six kids – I am doing my part!) and to subdue
the earth: “Rule over fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over
every living creature that moves on the ground.”

We
look like our Creator; we are fruitful and get to make more that look
like Him! Then we get to subdue the earth and trample on snakes and
scorpions.

What a life!

  1. That was some snake. I saw satan standing before you, trying to kill and destroy. God has won, and you stood your ground. God is so very good. Dad and I thank him once more. Now clear out all those Baby snakes around the outside of the house. (those demons) We love you all…Mom

  2. I’ll have a piece. Both physically and spiritually. Did you sleep last night?
    Dad

  3. Reminds me of when my husband killed a rattle snake in our driveway. And yes, he and Betsie DID eat it! This is the same girl who ate snails and oxtails while we were in Africa. That girl…I think she’s BORN to be overseas doing exciting things for God!

I’ll be showing all of them this piccha!
